Mr. Thorsness was admitted to practice law in the State of Illinois in 1973 and is licensed to practice in all the Illinois courts, including the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He earned his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Bradley University in 1969, with Magna Cum Laude Honors. |

| He received his law degree from DePaul University in 1973. He received his honorable discharge from the United States Army in 1975, after 6 years of service as an enlisted reserve.
Mr. Thorsness has concentrated his practice in the area of estate and financial planning, estate administration, probate, trusts, and federal estate, gift and generation skipping taxation. He is one of the co-founders and owners of the firm. He has over thirty (30) years of experience in estate administration and drafting wills and trusts and related documents for individuals, business owners, professionals, executives, retirees and their families. Mr. Thorsness is a member of the American and Illinois State Bar Associations and serves on the board of a local financial institution. He is also a frequent speaker before public, private and professional groups on the topic of estate planning.
