Russell R. Custer, Jr.

Russell Custer has been with Lillig & Thorsness, Ltd. since 1980 and is an owner of the firm. A former title and escrow officer of the Chicago Title Insurance Company, Russ specializes in real estate law, title insurance law, including claims resulting from fraud, defalcation, mortgage foreclosures, and title disputes. He also supervises the firm’s title insurance agency, Illinois Title Company.

Russ is an experienced litigator, having tried multiple cases in both state and federal courts. He was admitted to practice in Illinois and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois in 1976, and is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the Chicago Bar Association.

Russ is a marathon runner having participated in many events in the United States and Europe, and is an enthusiastic Chicago Bears fan.
